Established in 1435 AH, the college was founded to advance engineering education and scientific research, playing a vital role in achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. Our college hosts a diverse range of specialized departments, including Industrial, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Architectural Engineering.

University of Bisha Enhances Sustainability Path by Signing Cooperation Agreement with "Ecoryx" for Carbon Management

University of Bisha has signed a memorandum of understanding with Ecoryx, a company specializing in environmental sustainability solutions and carbon emissions management. This step aims to enhance the university's partnerships with the private sector and support national directions towards sustainability and the transition to a low-carbon economy. The memorandum was signed on behalf of the university by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Khaled bin Ayed Badie Al Harthy , representing His Excellency the University President, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Mohsen Safehi. The company was represented by the General Manager, Mr. Malik Al-Shahrani. The memorandum of understanding aims to expand joint cooperation areas in environmental sustainability, calculation and management of carbon footprint, environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG), in addition to cooperation in scientific research and innovation, organizing lectures, evaluating specialized training programs and workshops. This will contribute to transferring knowledge and practical expertise to the university environment. The Dean of the College of Engineering confirmed that signing this memorandum comes within the university's keenness to align its academic and research programs with pressing global issues, foremost among them climate change and sustainability. He pointed out that cooperation with a specialized company like Ecoryx will contribute to qualifying students and graduates, providing them with advanced practical skills in carbon management and environmental impact assessment. For its part, Ecoryx expressed its happiness with this partnership, confirming its aspiration to implement joint projects and initiatives, support educational initiatives, and contribute to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 related to environmental sustainability and the circular economy. College of Engineering welcomes new students and honors outstanding students

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Khalid bin Ali Abu Hassal, the College of Engineering organized on Sunday, 6/6/1438, a reception ceremony for new students and honoring the outstanding students, where the ceremony started with a recitation from the Book of Allah, followed by a welcoming speech by His Excellency the Dean of the College to his students. At the beginning, he welcomed the new students and urged them to focus on scientific achievement, developing skills and acquiring knowledge, stressing that the college and all its affiliates and cadres realize the magnitude of the responsibility placed on them in graduating qualified cadres capable of effectively contributing to the desired national transformation and reaching the realization of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. Therefore, the college is striving to make a qualitative leap in the College of Engineering by introducing new scientific majors in the college for the next academic year, developing academic programs and obtaining the international American academic accreditation ABET, as well as providing the finest laboratories and equipment, which will greatly contribute to developing students' practical skills and achieving a close link between the theoretical and applied aspect of engineering sciences, and the Dean of the College stressed the need for students to abide by university regulations and discipline in school attendance in an effort to reach a disciplined educational environment that is a model to be exemplary and referred to At the end of his speech, His Excellency the Dean of the College thanked the Deanship of the College of Applied Medical Sciences for supervising the implementation of some medical examinations (weight, sugar, and blood pressure) for the students during this ceremony. ​The College of Engineering receives a delegation from Gold and Minerals Company Limited to discuss  ​ ways to enhance joint cooperation Within the framework of enhancing cooperation and partnership between Bisha University and the private sector: The College of Engineering received a delegation from Gold and Minerals Company Limited headed by the company's CEO, Mr. John Webster, where ways of joint cooperation were discussed in the fields of academic programs, research, innovation and student training. His Excellency the Dean of the College, Dr. Khalid bin Ayed Al-Harthi, stressed during his meeting with the company's delegation. The importance of cooperation to support the academic and professional career of the college's students, while Mr. John Webster stressed the company's keenness to build strong partnerships with Saudi universities. The visit witnessed a tour by the delegation in the college's facilities, during which introductory presentations were given about the college's activities, its areas of specialization, the academic programs it provides and the efforts made to qualify students according to the requirements of the labor market, and a review of the aspects of research cooperation between the college and the industrial sectors and future aspirations to develop this cooperation in addition to field training programs that aim to hone students' experiences through practical training in prestigious companies and institutions such as Gold and Minerals Company Limited. The visit also included an interactive session between the company delegation and a group of students, during which the students’ experiences and available training and employment opportunities were discussed. This was followed by a dialogue session between the college administration and the company delegation, which discussed opportunities for cooperation in the field of scientific research and field training, in addition to examining the possibility of creating new academic programs in mining engineering to meet the needs of the local market. The possibility of signing future partnership agreements to enhance fruitful cooperation between the two parties was also discussed.
