About the department:
The Department of Computer Science is considered one of the basic departments of the college, on which it relies on preparing qualified cadres in the field of computer information systems and managing programming projects. Thus, the department contributes to the college by providing society with its public and private institutions with highly qualified national cadres.
Origination:
The department was opened in conjunction with the opening of the Community College in Al Namas in the year 1428 AH

To be an edifice of excellence and leadership in intermediate university education to prepare supportive technical competencies in the fields of information systems of high quality, professionally and applied.
Objectives:
- Building the student’s personality and developing his ability to deal in various computer fields in general, and in the field of information systems in particular.
- Preparing distinguished cadres in the field of information systems.
- Fill the shortage of distinguished cadres in the needs of the labor market.
- Developing the capabilities of students in the department to search, learn, and communicate with different sources of knowledge.
- Developing leadership and communication skills for department students.
