Duties of the Director of the General Administration of Communications and Information Technology

Developing the local and external communication network and providing a wide communication network to link the university with the affiliated colleges and coordinating with the relevant authorities regarding the exchange of information and increasing the number of beneficiaries of services according to the plans set for that.
  12. Providing technical support in the field of computers to all departments of the university and solving all problems they face in this field
  13. Preparing the university's website on the Internet and updating and maintaining it periodically, in coordination with the concerned departments at the university
  14. Studying and following up developments in the fields of computer hardware and software and information technology, and recommending the acquisition and use of appropriate ones
  15. Providing opinion, advice and assistance to all departments in the university and its affiliated colleges in matters related to information technology
  16. Submitting the necessary proposals to amend or develop regulations, regulations, instructions, decisions and administrative procedures related to the management’s activity, according to work needs and emerging variables.
  17. Supervise the collection, classification and preservation of data and information necessary for the functioning of the department and work on updating it and developing systems for saving and retrieval
  18. Preparing periodic reports on the administration's achievements and submitting the necessary suggestions for their development, and submitting them to the university president to take the necessary decision in this regard
  19. Supervising the processes of backup, preservation and retrieval of the databases of the university's internal systems, and ensuring their safety

Duties of the Director of Infrastructure and Operations Department

  1. Effectively manage the infrastructure and operations unit and supervise the implementation of works and technical development projects to ensure the achievement of the objectives of the General Administration of Communications and Information Technology in general.
  2. Work to develop and stabilize the university's technical infrastructure
  3. Planning and designing IT infrastructure activities in accordance with the best technical standards and practices
  4. Planning the absorptive capacity of technical infrastructure systems and services in line with future business requirements
  5. Optimal planning for technical infrastructure projects and supervising the implementation of projects according to best practices to achieve the desired goals
  6. Actively contributing to the university's digital transformation plan and implementing its initiatives related to technical infrastructure
  7. Manage and motivate the work team and provide guidance to effectively implement the work and tasks assigned to them
  8. Manage and follow up the work assigned to all teams
  9. Building distinguished working relationships with various organizational units in the university or with external service providers
  10. Ensure the application of the best security standards to maintain the security of the technical infrastructure and services provided to the end beneficiaries
  11. Searching and constantly looking for the latest technical and digital solutions
  12. Applying the best international standards and practices for the management and development of technical services
  13. Develop and improve work policies and procedures to ensure flexibility in providing services to beneficiaries and raise the level of satisfaction with technical services

Duties of the Director of Services and Development Department

  1. Administrative supervision of all the work of the Support Services Department and follow-up on the implementation and application of all instructions and decisions related to this according to the rules and regulations issued by the concerned authorities.
  2. Updating and developing the systems used in order to achieve the goals according to the best international programs and technologies used in the same field.
  3. Providing technical support to users and training them to use the programs optimally
  4. Solving technical problems and developing mechanisms and alternatives to ensure business continuity.
  5. Setting standards for the programs used in order to achieve the objectives of the administration
  6. Determining the needs of technical programs and systems and working on developing them, and enhancing electronic connectivity processes in accordance with the requirements of the mGovernment and the strategy of the entity.
  7. Ensure the readiness, safety and security of all technical devices and operating systems and follow up on their performance and maintenance
  8. Providing support and technical assistance services to all organizational units in the entity
  9. Providing technical support to university employees
  10. Develop principles and controls to manage and direct operations and improve productivity
  11. Strengthening relationships with internal and external partners to ensure the provision of services in accordance with the best standards
  12. Develop programs that promote continuous learning, develop, train and motivate work teams to ensure the provision of services of the highest quality
