The General Administration of Communications and Information Technology was established on the first of Rabi’ al-Thani in 1436 AH by a decision of His Excellency the Rector of the University in charge No. (30736) on 7/4/1436 AH, after it was a department for maintenance and technical support under the Department of Operation and Maintenance, and this department laid the foundation stone for technology in the university despite the scarcity of employees Where it had only one employee and collaborators for two years and then with the support of His Excellency the Rector of the University, who supported it since his tenure, where it was developed through the establishment of an independent data center on the highest international standards and continued to establish a network infrastructure as well as standard programs that meet all the needs of the university and then a decision was issued His Excellency the President of the University No. (148) dated 19/3/1440 AH to become the "General Administration of Communications and Information Technology", and praise be to God, the Department enjoys direct support from His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Muhammad Mohsen Safhi to achieve technical and technical excellence by developing its systems, programs and technical environment in a way that supports the strategic directions and visions of the university, and is in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, in addition to what it stipulates in the field of e-government transactions “enabling everyone to use effective government services in a safe, integrated and easy way through Multiple electronic channels. The administration has been focusing on preparing a strong and secure network infrastructure from which to launch electronic services and to be available to all in an effective and integrated manner and in a reliable and secure manner. It will bear fruit very soon, God willing, as we have completed the phase of connecting to the Government Secure Network (GSN). From which, God willing, electronic services will be launched, and we will face challenges with our positive energy and team spirit, to add new things to the university efficiently and proficiently.
