The program operates on a two-semester system, with an additional summer semester available for graduate students who have not fulfilled their graduation requirements.

A student's eligibility for graduation is determined by the courses they have successfully completed. They progress through their educational journey following an approved study plan and become eligible for graduation once they have met all the graduation requirements.​

About the Committee:

The Schedules, Tests, Programs, and Study Plans Committee is responsible for preparing and organizing academic schedules, exams, developing educational programs, and formulating study plans in alignment with the educational goals of the department, college, and university.

  1. Developing and Updating Academic Schedules: Ensuring a balanced distribution of class sessions and lectures to serve the educational process and help students achieve maximum benefit.
  2. Preparing and Monitoring Exams: Organizing an exam schedule that ensures a fair distribution of academic burdens and allows for effective student performance evaluation.
  3. Developing and Updating Educational Programs: Working on the development and update of academic programs in line with scientific and technological advancements and labor market needs.
  4. Developing Study Plans: Creating integrated study plans that guide students towards achieving their academic and professional goals, with a focus on developing skills necessary for the labor market.
  5. Communication and Coordination Among Academic Departments: Enhancing communication and coordination between different academic departments to ensure the efficient implementation of academic schedules and educational programs.

The Development, Quality, and Academic Accreditation Committee continuously works to enhance quality standards in the educational process and ensure compliance with internationally recognized academic standards. This committee is responsible for monitoring and evaluating educational programs and academic operations in the department and continually working on their improvement, in addition to preparing them for academic accreditation processes.

  1. Implementing best practices and international standards in the educational process and scientific research to ensure high-quality education.
  2. Preparing the department and its academic programs for local and international accreditations by ensuring compliance with quality standards and academic excellence.
  3. Continuously evaluating and updating educational programs to meet labor market needs and the developments in academic and professional fields.
  4. Encouraging and supporting the continuous professional development of teachers and lecturers through workshops and training sessions that enhance their teaching and research skills.

  2. Establishing programs aimed at supporting graduates at the beginning of their career paths and developing communication channels with them to contribute to the institution's activities and development.

  1. Supporting and stimulating high-quality scientific research and encouraging research collaboration with local and international institutions and universities.
  2. Providing guidance to new scholars and monitoring their academic progress.
  3. Developing and implementing strategic research programs that align with the university's research priorities and contribute to solving community and scientific problems.
  4. Building partnerships with international research institutions to exchange knowledge and experiences and develop joint research projects.
  5. Working on improving the resources and facilities available to researchers and students, facilitating the research process, and enhancing its quality.​

Student​ Activities Report (2023-2024) 
  1. Mastering Interview Skills On July 19, 1445 AH, the English Language Club organized a specialized training course on interview skills with the aim of equipping students with the necessary tools and skills to enhance their performance in job interviews. The course, conducted by Dr. Munir Ahmed Chaudhry, was distinguished by its deep focus on techniques to boost confidence and effective performance during interviews.

  2. Strategies to Deliver an Extempore Speech On August 10, 1445 AH, the English Language Club held a distinguished training course on extempore speech delivery, aimed at enhancing participants' abilities to deliver spontaneous speeches without prior preparation. Led by experienced trainers Mr. Muhammad Asif Saifi and Dr. Munir Chaudhry, the course covered several strategies aimed at developing general speaking skills and building confidence in front of an audience.

  3. Effective Communication Skills On January 24, 2024, the English Language Club organized a specialized course on effective communication skills under the supervision of renowned trainer Mr. Muhammad Asif Saifi. With 41 students in attendance, the course primarily focused on enhancing effective communication skills, with special emphasis on active listening and clear expression as fundamental pillars of successful communication.

  4. The Basic Science of a 5-Paragraph Essay On November 13, 2023, the English Language Club conducted an intensive course on the art of writing a five-paragraph essay, supervised by Professor Shahid Akhtar Khan. With 49 students showing interest, the course focused on providing them with the necessary fundamentals to structure an organized and effective essay comprising five main paragraphs, contributing to the improvement and development of their academic writing skills.

  5. Student ‘Memo’tivation: Using Memes for Educational and Personal MotivationOn March 9, 2024, the English Language Club organized an innovative workshop titled "Student 'Memo'tivation: Using Memes for Educational and Personal Motivation." With 29 students interested, the workshop focused on how to use memes as a tool to enhance motivation in educational and personal contexts, exploring the unique ability of memes to facilitate communication and add a fun and motivational element.



English Language Club Functions (Ajaweed 2)

    English for All
    The English for All is a diverse educational program that includes eight tracks offering courses tailored for prisoners, orphans, test preparation (IELTS and STEP), youth, translation enthusiasts, as well as special courses for Ramadan charities and intercultural communication for English speakers. There are also courses for children, tourism enthusiasts, artificial intelligence, and English language education.

    IELTS Preparation Course
    The second course offered by the English Language Club on the same day was dedicated to preparing for the IELTS exam, supervised by trainer Mr. Shahid Akhtar Khan. This course was designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the different test sections and aims to equip participants with the tools and skills needed to achieve high scores. Sessions focused on listening, reading, writing, and speaking techniques, with useful tips on time management and overcoming common challenges in the exam.

    English Basics for Orphans Preparing for University Entry 1
    The third course offered by the English Language Club on September 9, 1445 AH, was titled "English Basics for Orphans Preparing for University Entry," led by Dr. Abdul Fattah Mohamed Adel. This course focused on providing basic language and preparatory skills for orphans aspiring to enter higher education. The main goal was to enable these students to learn and master English at a level that qualifies them to face academic challenges in universities.

    Dialogue Course
    The fourth and final course held on Tuesday, September 9, 1445 AH, by the English Language Club was titled "Dialogue," with Dr. Ali Aa'id Al-Shahrani as the trainer. This course aimed to enhance participants' dialogue and communication skills in English, with a particular focus on effective sentence construction, fluent language use, and active listening techniques.

    English Basics for Orphans (Preparing for University Entry) 2
    On the fifteenth day of Ramadan in 1445 AH,  Monday, Dr. Muayyad Abdulhalim delivered an important course titled "English Basics for Orphans Preparing for University Entry." This course focused on providing essential English language basics to help orphan students enhance their preparedness for academic challenges they may face in university.

    Intercultural Dialogue
    On the fifteenth day of Ramadan in 1445 AH,  Monday, a distinguished training course titled "Intercultural Communication" was held and presented by Ms. Thurya Al-Qarni. This course delved deeply into the topic of effective communication and mutual understanding among individuals from different cultural backgrounds, highlighting the importance of cultural awareness and sensitivity in building bridges for international communication and cooperation.

    English Basics for Orphans (Preparing for University Entry) 3
    On the eighth day of Ramadan in 1445 AH,  Monday, Dr. Nayef Aayid Al-Ghamdi delivered a specialized course titled "English Basics for Orphans Preparing for University Entry." Organized in collaboration with the English Language Club, this course aimed to provide intensive educational support for orphans wishing to continue their university education and improve their English proficiency.

    English Basics for Children
    On the eighth day of Ramadan in 1445 AH, Monday, Ms. Thurya Al-Qarni delivered a specialized course titled "English Basics for Children: Preparing for University Entry." This course aimed to provide children with the necessary basics to master English, facilitating their future educational path, especially in the context of university studies that require a high level of language proficiency.

    The English Language Department organized a training course titled "English Basics (Preparing for University Entry)" on Wednesday, 10 Ramadan 1445 AH, dedicated to orphans and presented by trainer Shahid Akhtar Khan. This course, specially designed to support and empower orphans, aimed to equip them with the necessary language skills for success in the university academic environment.​

The Cross-Cultural Communication Skills in the Tourism Industry
On Wednesday, 10/ Ramadan, a workshop titled "Enhancing Cross-Cultural Communication Skills in the Tourism Industry" was held. The workshop was presented by Dr. Ali Aa'id Al-Shahrani, a distinguished expert in the field of cross-cultural communication and tourism industry. The aim of this workshop was to highlight the importance of the ability to communicate across different cultures and to develop these skills among professionals in the tourism sector.

    English Basics for Orphans Preparing for University Entry 5
    On the thirteenth day of Ramadan in 1445 AH, Monday, an important course titled "English Basics for Orphans Preparing for University Entry" was held, delivered by Dr. Mashhour Moghlas. This course was specially designed to help orphans enhance their linguistic and academic skills in preparation for the challenges they may face in the university environment.

    On the sixteenth day of Ramadan in 1445 AH, Tuesday, Dr. Muhammad Asif Saifi conducted an important training course titled "English Basics for Orphans: Preparing for University Entry." This course focused on providing basic concepts in English language to help orphan students enhance their preparedness for academic challenges they may encounter in university.

    IELTS Preparation Course 2
    Mr. Shahid Akhtar Khan conducted an IELTS preparation course on the sixteenth day of Ramadan in 1445 AH, from 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM on Tuesday. The course was organized to assist students in adequately preparing for this important exam. A large number of students participated in the course, aiming to achieve high scores in the IELTS exam for study or migration purposes.

    STEP Test Preparation
    On the evening of Tuesday,  16/9/1445 AH, Ms. Thurya Al-Qarni dedicated intensive time to prepare for the STEP English language test. From 10:00 PM until midnight, she immersed herself entirely in review and preparatory exercises, ensuring the best possible readiness to take this important test.

    Ramadan Virtues in English
    On the night of Tuesday, 16/9/1445 AH, Dr. Shafi Saad Al-Qahtani held an awareness session titled "Ramadan Virtues," lasting from 10:00 PM to midnight. The session aimed to shed light on the spiritual aspects and numerous virtues of the blessed month of Ramadan.

    English for Children
    The English language course for children delivered by Ms. Thurya Al-Qarni was a rich and motivating educational experience. Through a blend of education and entertainment, she created an engaging learning environment that effectively and enjoyably enhanced children's English language skills. The course ran from 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM, providing a rich and motivating educational environment aimed at boosting children's English language skills.

    STEP Test Preparation 2
    On Wednesday night,  17th of Ramadan, Ms. Nof Mohammed Fayez Al-Shahrani conducted an intensive preparation session for the STEP test, targeting students seeking to improve their linguistic and academic skills.
