The Department of English Language & Literature at the College of Arts and Letters was established following the directive of the Higher Education Council, No.7/45/1428 AH, and received Royal Approval No. 3030 / MB on 23/3/1428 AH. Academic activities in the department commenced in the 1429/1430 AH academic year. The Department of English Language & Literature is dedicated to delivering comprehensive education and training in the English language, focusing on enhancing students' linguistic, intellectual, and research capabilities to fulfill labor market demands. As an essential component of the college, the Department of English Language & Literature distinguishes itself with a high level of expertise and scientific prowess. This is evident in the carefully designed courses that guide students through structured and well-considered methodological steps towards achieving superior language proficiency and academic excellence. The curriculum is rigorously developed to encourage students to think independently and articulate their thoughts precisely and thoroughly, both verbally and in writing.
