Training is one of the most important pillars of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, in order to achieve its goals and complete the educational and clinical aspect of graduates to qualify them to get the right place in the labor market. The internship year is considered one of the most important years of scientific and clinical achievement for the student, because it links between theoretical information, clinical application, and the student’s contact with cases and experiences on the ground in the training environment. Therefore, it was necessary to develop the college’s training and excellence system to keep pace with the development in the fields of study and to achieve the college’s goals in graduating students who are in line with the labor market, who actively contribute to building society and participating in the renaissance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Therefore, the Excellence and Graduate Affairs Unit was established at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at the University of Bisha to contribute to the rehabilitation and follow-up of the graduated students and their attachment to training places that keep pace with the aspirations of the college as well as concerned with the issues of graduates and work to solve them and link them to the labor market.

  • Providing distinguished training services that keep pace with the college’s aspirations.
  • Providing the opportunity for graduates to acquire high professional and research skills.
  • Providing a training environment conducive to clinical education and direct contact with the labor market.
  • Urging graduates to continuous learning and professional development in their specializations by holding specialized courses and seminars in the field of work.
  • Establishing effective partnerships between the unit and the various training institutions inside and outside the Kingdom.
  • Conducting questionnaires and opinion polls for internship students in training places and the extent of their satisfaction with the procedures for their enrollment in training.
  • Effectively contributing to the service and development of society.

B. Graduate Affairs De​​​partment


  • Continuous communication with graduates through various means of communication, which enhances the graduate's relationship with the college.
  • Helping graduates to identify areas of work that suit their specialties and preferences
  • Identifying the problems that graduates encounter after their graduation and joining the labor market.
  • Conducting surveys related to the number of graduates working from them, their places of work, and those who are not working.
  • Obtaining feedback from graduates about the workplace and the extent of satisfaction and skills acquired at work.
  • Registration of graduates ’proposals about developing the unit’s performance and the extent of their aspirations for further development.

​Strateg​​ic ​​Plan

  • Work to create a website for the unit that follows the university and college website to be a platform for trainees and graduates.
  • Work to make the application for the internship year through that website electronically.
  • Create a database for all internship students, including information about the year of graduation and the place of training, in addition to the personal data of each student.
  • Establishing a database for graduates that includes their specializations and places of work for their employees in order to facilitate the unit continuous communication with them.
  • Holding seminars and specialized courses for both internship students and graduates to achieve further development and keep abreast of what is new in the fields of specialization.
  • Work to ensure that the unit represented by the faculty and university administration adopts an annual graduation ceremony for students who have graduated from the college and awards prizes.
