Dr.. Youssef Sahari participates
At the International Translation Conference in Australia
His Excellency Dr. Youssef Sahari, Dean of the College of Arts and Letters at the University of Bisha, participated in the international conference “Building Bridges and Strengthening Alliances: Translation in Our Connected/Interconnected World Today,” which was held from November 23 to 25, 2023, at the University of New South Wales, Australia, and was organized by the Australian National Institute for Translation. (AUSIT).
Dr. Youssef presented a scientific paper entitled: “Translating religious terminology in Hollywood films” in which he explains the aspects of the use of these terms and their differences between Arabic and English culture, which poses a challenge to translators and the goals and strategies followed and proposed to confront these challenges.
