Overview about physics department

The Department of Physics is one of the important scientific departments at the College of Science for Girls in Al-Namas, and this department was established with the establishment of the College in 1412 AH.

Therefore, it is considered one of the faculty's special nature departments, as physics represents the backbone of other applied sciences and has the greatest impact on their scientific understanding and applications.

 

Department Vision:

  1. That the department be one of the distinguished departments at the local, regional and global level in terms of providing educational and research service that contributes to building the people of the country and participates in the renaissance of our Islamic nation

  1. Developing female students ’abilities and innovations and training them to use the practical way of thinking to play a positive role in various fields of scientific research, especially those that contribute to community service.

Mission of the Department of Physics:

 

1. Spreading the concept of physics and emphasizing its importance in daily life and in other scientific fields, by preparing qualified scientific cadres in the field of physics and its applications in the education sector and the fields of the labor market.

2. Presenting the best scientific methods in teaching physics, both theoretical and experimental.

3. Maintaining the advancement of the level of education and scientific research, which is positively reflected in the progress and advancement of this dear country.

4. The ability of the graduate student from the Physics Department in Al-Namas to complete her master's and doctoral studies, and to play a distinguished role in scientific research and development, and to work in various scientific and industrial facilities related to physics.

Objectives of the Physics Department:

 

  1. Developing the previous knowledge possessed by female students and converting them into new experiences through special curricula that are distinguished by high scientific levels, in order to provide some scientific and academic bodies in the Kingdom with qualified researchers to work in various research centers.
  2. Linking the university to society by preparing a distinguished generation capable of applying theoretical and experimental information to various aspects of the practical life surrounding it.
  3. Preparing specialized female students in the various branches of physics, commensurate with their nature, through conducting research at a high level that approaches postgraduate studies.
  4. Preparing a generation of scientifically superior female instructors, sending them abroad to complete their higher studies, and keeping pace with all that is new and useful for their work, by obtaining the necessary academic qualifications to fill this position.

Contributing to the development plans in the Kingdom by participating in solving scientific problems and proposing various scientific projects that serve the Saudi, Arab and international community, with the students of the department.

A student who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics can study in many fields, including:

  1. Teaching in public or private schools.
  2. Academic field in universities (teaching assistant) or technical field (laboratory technician).
  3. Scientific centers or quality control laboratories
