About the chemistry department

   The Department of Chemistry was established within one of the departments of the Intermediate College of the Ministry of Education by Resolution No. (1/615 / 1S) on 12/22/1412 AH, and the period of study in the department was two academic years. The department was developed as one of the departments of the college developed by Resolution No. (11734/11 Q) dated 2/4/1421 AH issued by His Excellency the General President for Girls' Education, so that the study period in the department becomes four years, and the department grants female graduates a bachelor’s degree in science and education. In the year 1428 AH (the fifth of the other Jumada month), the college and its affiliated departments were joined to King Khalid University in Abha to witness the college and department a new leap in its scientific development.On the second of the month of Jumada al-Akhira 1435 AH, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud ordered the transfer of the branch of King Khalid University in Bisha and the neighboring governorates into an independent university, called Bisha University. This university includes colleges in the governorates of Bisha, Balkarn and Al-Namas.                                                                                    

Chemistry  Department Vision

The department's vision includes spreading and teaching the scientific foundations and principles of chemistry and providing students with an opportunity to learn about the various branches of science, as the Department of Chemistry teaches most chemistry specialty.

Mission of Chemistry Department

      The mission of the Department of Chemistry is that it is an  educational, cultural and societal message for the children of female cadres by providing them with the necessary capabilities and skills that help them carry out the national duty in the comprehensive development process in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Objectives of Chemistry Department

        The department achieves a set of educational, community and training goals in line with the progress the Kingdom is witnessing.

First: Educational objectives: The department prepares female students to contribute in the field of advanced scientific research so that they can have an effective role in the scientific and cultural progress that the Kingdom is witnessing during the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The department also provides reference books for students to learn about the latest modern technologies and increase the cultural awareness of students through lectures, seminars, brochures and exhibitions

Second: Societal goals: The department made an effective contribution to community service, as it helped in the Saudization of girls ’education throughout the province of Al-Namas in the specialty of chemistry, through the work of female graduates in the position of a school of chemistry. The department also assisted the female graduates in working as a laboratory technician in hospitals and the analysis department. And also by working in charitable societies to spread scientific culture. The department also fills the deficit in the branches of other colleges, such as the College of Applied Medical Sciences for Girls in the Governor of Al-Namas, to teach the various branches of chemistry to advance the level of female students in the college.              

Third: Training Objectives: The members of the department supervise and accompany girls in different schools in Al Namas in order to train them and deliver teaching and scientific experience to them.        ​
